Packing Up Your Computer:

1. Disconnect all wires and label them for reconnecting at your new home.
2. Disconnect the monitor and wrap it separately
3. If you want to make sure all of your files remain on your computer, Backup all files, to do this (on Windows XP):

5. Point to All Programs
6. Point to Accessories
7. Point to System Tools
8. Click Backup
9. Click Advanced Mode
10. Press the Backup Tab
11. On the Job menu click New
12. Select all of the drives you want to back up
13. Press the System Select Box
14. On the Backup Destination list select where you would like to back the data up.
15. On the Backup Tab, press Start Backup. A dialog box will show up on the screen.
16. Click Advanced and select the Verify Data after Backup Tab.
17. Select the type of backup you want in the Backup box. A description will appear under each selection. We recommend using the Normal backup.
18. Finally, press OK and the Start Backup. A dialog box will show you progress throughout your backup.
19. Pack Printers and faxes separately
20. Make sure that the computer is well protected and well cushioned.
